Restaurant Banquet/Function General Policy Information
Thank you for choosing the Mezza Luna to accommodate all of your banquet needs.
Pricing and Guest Amount
All menu prices are subject to a 6.25% Massachusetts sales tax, a 17% gratuity, and a 3% taxable administration fee. All substitutions are subject to a price increase. Price can only be held until the end of the calendar year. You will be charged for the amount of people booked for, due to food preparation requirements. However, if you have a larger turnout than expected you will be charged the per person price that corresponds with your menu selection for your additional guests. Up to 10 days in advance is allowed for head count adjustments. (Special arrangements will be made for funeral collations) Mezza Luna Restaurant reserves the right to deny any banquet menu due to a headcount that drops below banquet requirements. We reserve the right to add a $100.00 fee for additional set up.
Deposit and Payment
A non-refundable deposit of $200.00 is required to secure the date and time for use of the room. For functions with an estimated total cost over $1500.00 the deposit will be assessed on 20% of the estimated final cost. Check, cash, or credit cards are all acceptable forms of payment. Your deposit will be held until the day of the event.
Event Details and Set up
Menu selections, room requirements and all other arrangements must be finalized with your function coordinator at least 10 days prior to the event, to ensure the proper handling of all details. The service and sale of alcoholic beverages is solely to be provided by the Mezza Luna Restaurant - no personal alcoholic beverages are to be brought into the restaurant, and all alcoholic beverages must be consumed on premises. All food must be provided by The Mezza Luna Restaurant and consumed on premises (Per Board of Health). No food is to be taken home; personal cakes brought in are exempt from this policy.
Liability
The Mezza Luna Restaurant reserves the right to inspect and control all private functions. No tape or similar is allowed on the walls, no confetti is to be used, and you are responsible for any other personal decorations you bring in (Setup and removal). All decorations are to be approved by the function coordinator. There is a fee of $250 for any persons pulling a false fire alarm. Liability for damage to the premises will be charged accordingly. The Mezza Luna cannot assume responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, personal property and/or equipment brought onto the premises. The Mezza Luna Restaurant Inc., as a licensee, is responsible for the administration of the sale and service of all alcoholic beverages consumed on the premises, in accordance with Massachusetts State Liquor Regulations. Therefore, the Mezza Luna Restaurant reserves the right to refuse the sale and/or service of alcoholic beverages to anyone attending the event.
